Questions are numbered by position, so their numbers change when you reorder them. A question code is a short name that never changes, like R1, SCR-BEF or BUDGET. It's shown instead of the number in Logic, Results, exports and webhooks.

  1. Select the question
In the Content tab, click the question.
  2. Type a code
In Question code, type something short. Each code must be unique: you'll be told if another question uses it.

Where codes help

  • Formulas: write {{BUDGET}} * 12 instead of a long internal id.
  • Webhooks, Zapier and Make: each answer arrives under its code, so your CRM fields stay stable.
  • Big assessments: name questions after your spec (R1–R27) so your team and the assessment speak the same language.
