Required

Switch on Required and people can't move on without answering. Required questions show a small asterisk.

Answer checks

An answer check goes further: it refuses answers that can't be right, and shows your message so people can fix them. For example:

  • An age that must be at least 18.
  • A team size that must be at most the company size given earlier: numbers and dates can be compared with another answer.
  • An email that must end with @yourcompany.com, or a word that must be one of a few accepted ones. Capital letters and spaces don't matter.
  1. Open Answer checks
Select the question and open Answer checks near the bottom of its settings.

  2. Say what to accept
Under Only accept answers that, pick the rule from a list. The choices fit the question type. For anything more complex, switch the check to Write a formula.
  3. Write the message
Under If not, they see, a message is written for you. Change it to your own words if you like, e.g. That's more than your company size. Please check.
