A hidden field reads a value from the assessment's link. The respondent never sees it, but it's saved with their response and can drive logic, text and integrations.

  1. Add a hidden field
In Hidden fields & variables, under Values from the link, enter the URL parameter name, e.g. utm_source. Add a Display name if you like.
  2. Optional: pre-fill a question
Pre-fill a question… puts the value straight into a question's answer, e.g. a known email address. People can still change it.
  3. Add it to your link
Share https://forms.marketkloud.com/f/your-form?utm_source=newsletter. Several values are joined with &: ?utm_source=newsletter&name=Sam.

What you can do with it

  • Branch on it: plan equal to premium → skip the pricing question.
  • Recall it: Hi @name.
  • See it in Results, exports and CRM payloads, under each response.
  • Map it to a CRM field: a fixed value per campaign link, e.g. lead_source.
