Conditions: every comparison, and combining them with AND / OR
What you can compare, how to combine several conditions, and when to write a formula.

What you can compare
A condition starts with something to look at: an answer, a score, a variable or a value from the link. Pick it from the list, or search for it.
Comparisons
| For… | You can say… |
|---|---|
| Anything | equal to, not equal to, is empty, is not empty |
| Numbers, scores and dates | is greater than, is less than, is greater than or equal to, is less than or equal to, is between, is not between |
| Text | contains, does not contain, starts with, ends with |
For choice questions, the answer is picked from the question's own options, so there's nothing to mistype. Numbers and scores are compared as numbers: 10 is more than 9.
Several conditions
Click + Add condition and choose AND (both must be true) or OR (either is enough) between them. For a mix, like (A and B) or C, use + Add condition group: conditions inside a group are joined one way, and the groups are joined to each other with AND or OR.
Compare one value with another
The right-hand side doesn't have to be a fixed number. Compare two live values: Marketing score is greater than Sales score, or team size is less than or equal to company size.
Advanced conditions
- + Advanced: count how many variables match, e.g. at least 3 of these 4 scores are 20 or less.
- + Advanced: write a formula (brackets, any nesting):
{{Q1}} = "Yes" and ({{Q2}} > 3 or {{Total}} >= 10). See Formulas.
