Logic, explained: what each part of the Logic tab does
Map, Branching, Hidden fields & variables, Tags and Check: what they do and which one you need.
Where to find it: Logic
Logic decides what each person sees next, what their answers add up to, and how their response is labelled. The Logic tab has five sections along the top:
| Section | What it's for | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Map | A left-to-right picture of every path through your assessment. | See the whole flow; click any question to change its logic. |
| Branching | Rules that pick the next question or ending, add points, and set variables. | If budget is under 5,000, skip to the contact questions. |
| Hidden fields & variables | Values your logic works out, plus values read from the assessment's link. | A lead score; a campaign name from ?utm_source=. |
| Tags | Labels each response earns from its answers. | Hot lead, Needs follow-up. |
| Check | Tests your logic and finds mistakes before respondents do. | Endings nobody can reach; rules that never apply. |
